UNSW Institute of Languages offers an extensive range of short language courses for students wishing to learn a foreign language for business, travel and tourism, cultural interest, or to maintain their level of fluency.
Courses are conducted in small class tutorials (Max 18 students).
The focus of our courses is on practical language skills for everyday use. Our courses integrate active communication skills with the grammatical structure of the language.
Students develop proficiency in the language by using it in realistic situations and enjoyable activities. Awareness of cross-cultural communication is also addressed as this is an important factor in language learning.
More advanced students will find themselves enjoyably challenged through activities which involve more complex and sophisticated use of language.
Although there are no formal assessments for these courses, your progress will be continually monitored by your course teacher and regular feedback is provided. A Certificate of Attendance is awarded upon successful completion of course levels.
