Tertiary Orientation Program is a 5 week English course for students who have a full offer from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) but who want to develop their English language skills to maximise success in their academic studies at UNSW.

Classes may be scheduled in the morning or the afternoon at our Kensington or Randwick Campus

Morning class times: 9.00 - 11.00am and 11.30am - 1.30pm
Afternoon class times: 1.30 - 3.30pm and 4.00 - 6.00pm

Listening 2:
  • Engaging with digital media; making critical comments
Tutorial Skills
  • Summarising an academic article and presenting the main points to the class. Then leading a discussion on the topic
Consultation and Guided Independent Learning
  • Guidance on independent study skills
  • individual consultations with teacher


Final course results are based on:

  • Seminar Presentation or speaking tasks
  • Writing tasks
  • Participation in class

At the successful completion of the course, you will receive a UNSW Institute of Languages certificate at a graduation ceremony.
