Sydney Lifestyle

Sydney is situated on one of the world's most beautiful natural harbours. Sydney is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city that offers a wide variety of entertainment, shopping and sightseeing. The harbour, with its famous Sydney Harbour Bridge and the iconic Opera House, is a great place to meet people, eat good food, be entertained and simply enjoy watching all the action on the harbour.

Sport and Leisure

Sydney hosted the 2000 Olympic Games and is well-equipped with world-class sporting facilities. Swimming and surfing are major pastimes for the people of Sydney; the famous beaches of Bondi and Coogee are close to UNSW Global. The city has many parks and gardens. Centennial Park, near the University, is a vast green area for jogging, horse or bike riding, walking and picnicking.

Arts and Entertainment

Sydney is home to the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the Conservatorium of Music, the Australian Opera, the Sydney Dance Company, the Australian Ballet, and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Sydney also has a local and international theatre and music scene. Sydney offers a huge choice of restaurants which offer international cuisine.

Shopping in Sydney offers a variety of choices, from big department stores to small boutique shops. Getting Around

Traffic in Australia drives on the left-hand side of the road. The city and inner suburbs of Sydney are linked by buses, trains, and ferries. There are different types of fares covering the network and the cost varies with the type of pass and distance travelled.
